WOGA FA Staff Bios
Harmony:
Harmony Minturn joined the WOGA team in 2019 as our Lower School music teacher. Being influenced by her mother and grandfather's dedication to church music, she began studying music at a young age. This led her to performing and recording music with several groups in the early 2000s. After a long battle with cancer, Harmony has continued her music career as a performer and educator, working towards her Masters Degree in Music Education while also performing and recording as a Harpist in our community. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys
time with her family, serving on the praise team at her church, reading, taking water aerobics classes, and traveling.
Luke:
Luke Teutsch has been on staff since 2019 as the Director of Fine Arts. Growing up as a preacher's kid, he was always at church, and found his passion for music and the arts through the programs his local congregation offered. He continued playing and studying music in college as a percussionist where he received his degree in Music Education from Northwestern State University. After college, he was both a worship leader and public school teacher before arriving at WOGA where he strives to see each student glorify God through excellence in creative expression. Apart from music, he enjoys coffee, reading, photography, and spending time with his wife, Sarah and son, Zion.
Ben:
Ben Densmore began teaching at Word of God Academy in 2017 as both a math and music teacher. He's been performing and recording music for the past two decades in a variety of ensembles and bands. While in college, he studied music and performed with the Northwestern State University Orchestra. He brings his experience and expertise to his Upper School guitar class, lessons students, and songwriting club. His goal is to help develop students' ability to express their soul through music and to collaborate with others in a spirit of reciprocal play. In
his free time, he enjoys writing and recording songs, storytelling, psychology, and philosophy.
Pam:
Pam Saxton has been on staff since 2015, first as an elementary teacher, and now as the Upper School visual arts instructor. She studied art throughout high school, completing a senior exhibition at the Flint Institute of Arts and then attended the University of Michigan with a focus in Studio Arts. She moved to Louisiana and completed her bachelors at LSUS. Pam seeks to help her students realize that they were created in the image of God, learn to be creators themselves, and become more aware of God's creation around them. She enjoys creating art herself with found objects in nature, journaling in her Bible, and spending time with her family,
especially her two amazing grandsons, River and Halston.
Linda:
Linda Sikes joined the Fine Arts team at Word of God Academy in 2018 as a visual arts teacher. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts Studio at LSUS and continued her education with a Master of Arts from Louisiana Tech. She's held a variety of positions within the visual arts field working in the public schools, helping with the Shreveport Regional Arts Council, and being a professional artist herself exhibiting her work throughout Louisiana and Florida. She strives to instill a love for visual arts and our Lord, helping each child feel successful in what they create which in turn helps to build positive self-esteem. When she's not drawing or painting in her spare time, she enjoys estate sales, cooking, reading, and continuing to learn new things.
